Your Adventure Starts

You may depart directly from Ketchikan International Airport or dockside on the city side of the Tongass Sound. Ketchikan is also an exciting port of call for all the major cruise ship lines. While buzzing with visitor activity, the town provices the opportunity to experience a leisure filled day of well deserved relaxation. You may whish to enhance your enjoyment of this historic town with all its shops and local charm by opting to stay overnight, or you may elect to continue directly on to Steamboat Bay. The choice is yours!

Steamboat Bay Arrival

The excitement has begun! You've taken an exhilarating, 30 minute float plane trip over the Tongass National Forest. You've descended down between the islands and skimmed along the surface of the placid waters. You have arrived at Craig, Alaska on Prince of Wales Island. You will be greeted here by our boat captains from the Steamboat Bay Resort. They will transport you to our resort. Upon arrival, your bags will be unloaded and you'll receive your room keys, fishing license and rain gear. Then it's time to relax. Enjoy some appetizers and refreshments as you meet our friendly staff and fellow Steamboat Bay guests. If you like, step outside and do some "exploring". You'll see greenery everywhere. Fireweed blossoms and other flowers provice just the right splash of color. Wander down to the docks and take a look at our boats. Take a cannery tour or go kayaking. Your adventure has just begun.
